Social Virgin

When I read it for the first time

I cried all night

Just like Uncle Ho did

When he first read it

As a student in France in the 1920’s

In another era of man

Before it became the era of people

The rules however

Remain applicable today

And can be transposited with ease

To confront and account

For the realities faced by women today

To fully address their true inclusion

But I think all these thoughts

As a Social Virgin

Without a degree of understanding

It seems

At least I’ve been told

That I lack it

That I do not account for biology

But I say

Let’s move beyond our animalistic conceptions

And aspire to true humanity

And a God-Like Civilization

With all His knowledge

As we slowly garner it

It can free us from a constant self-defeatism

Justified by our continuing biological humanity

All doctrines point forward

And have the same conclusion

As I realized vividly that night

When I lost my Social Virginity

To the brilliant prose of one Mr. Karl Marx
