The Curse of First
Loves
The Cold World
Has not been changed
In any real way
This day or
Any other day
Life has been a twisted illusion
A cyclical confusion
A demented hallucination
All those things
Indicative of a Curse
The Curse of First Loves
Unmitigated
In my soul
Forever I’ll never be clever
Enough to solve the enigmatic
Curse of First Loves
Bathing instead by the sea at the cove
Running round in the nude
Under the Lover’s Moon
Screaming scathing nothings like a mad man
Trying desperately to escape
From the Curse of First Loves
That withering enervating affectation
Traveling to all places
So bloody obvious for all to see
Understood nonetheless by everybody
And nobody
All the while, all tryin’ to deny
The Curse of First Loves
